Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Compare Remit Rates ("we", "us", "our") — the website at comparerateslive.com — collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit the site. By using the site you agree to this policy. Questions? Email hello@comparerateslive.com.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal information to use the comparison tool. We collect information in three ways:
- Your inputs & preferences — the currencies and amount you choose are kept in your browser's local storage so we can remember your last comparison. They stay on your device.
- Rate requests — the currency pair and amount are sent to a third-party rate API to return live provider quotes. No personal identifiers are attached to these requests.
- Usage & advertising data — collected via Google Analytics and Google AdSense and their cookies, as described below.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including your browser's local storage) for the following purposes:
- Essential / preference — local storage remembers your theme and your last currency/amount selection. These never leave your device.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LB2GXN90TC) sets cookies to measure aggregate usage such as pages viewed and approximate region. This is used in aggregate and not to personally identify you.
- Advertising — Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to serve and measure ads, as described next.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Where required (for example, visitors in the EEA and UK), we present a Google-certified consent message so you can accept or reject non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies before they are used.
Advertising — Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites:
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and others.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (and youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).
- See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third parties we use
We rely on Google (Analytics and AdSense) and a third-party exchange-rate comparison API. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices
Where our consent message is shown (for example, in the EEA and UK) you can accept or reject non-essential cookies and change that choice later; you can also manage ad personalisation through the links above, and clear local storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
